Everything Trump ever did from nationalism (MAGA) to the big lie comes directly from the dictator's handbook. It's not about fascists, communists or any other political denomination, it's about greed and power disguised under whatever political banner is convenient
Trump stated without evidence the 2012 election was fraudulent, the 2016 was fraudulent, the 2018 midterms were fraudulent and the 2020 election was stolen.
What a joke
Because people are lazy and don't want to put forth the effort to uncover the truth for themselves, and the "lie" is being put forth in an entertaining manner while the truth though it be is being put forth in more of a clinical manner. The presenting of the truth has lacked "presentation" which "the big lie" has not.
Great points, Dr. Snyder! The people most vulnerable to extending the big lie ? …the people living with exaggerated fears (or on the edge of well-being), the people who cannot stand to face the great errors of slavery and systematic racism (because lies like these are built on other big lies), and those meanly denying opportunities for others (or benefitting from perpetuating falsehood) because of myths related to their own enrichment (bad spirituality). The most critical solutions? For a Free Press, for fierce love of others, for discussion and debate, for rejection of measures to whitewash history – but also for the quiet, educated and caring folk to take a stand! Conservatives and liberals should work to build the peace, to conserve democracy and liberally work for justice. Avoid the tribes and games for those who will play you off one another.
Professor Snyder is encouraging his readers to take advice from Hitler?
At least he's honest about it, unlike the Liberals who are conspiring to murder babies and ensure any survivors can't decide what gender they are.

Desantis has created his own big lie in Florida with Disney. The law he signed goes against the state constitution Disney may not even need their attorneys to rectify this error. Even though Disney probably pays much higher taxes through Reedy Creek as necessary to build infrastructure and maintain the Magic Kingdom's brand with impeccably maintained grounds while still paying their required taxes, there has been this air of impropriety where there was none. People have heard all sorts of reports on something untrue that is going nowhere. Desantis was miffed when Disney pulled campaign funds due to the Governor being an authoritarian asshat and taking away citizens rights in many areas. That is not what people will remember.

Trump did not keep his promise to make America Great and did not keep his promise to save America. He was too busy playing golf of goofing off with his folly. He should have been checking the store houses to make sure America had enough food on hand at least 5 years in advance which America always had enough food supply stored in the warehousees. He is the reason for 40 year high inflation. I hope the democrats get out front now and repeat over and over how Trump did not keep his promises to save this country and made no effort to make it great again like it was under president Obama. Trump inherented a good economy from Obama. He was to busy trying to get rid of insurance that helped over 30 million people was able to get insurance under Obama. Please repeat over and over how Trump took the baton from Obama and dropped it refused to keep the economy going. He drained away all the hard work Obama had done that made America great.
